Historical and period adventure — real people, real stakes, and the moment private lives collide with public history.
Tony Barone writes historical and period adventure for stage and screen — stories built on real people, real stakes, and the moments when private lives collide with public history. His subjects run from a Civil War battlefield surgeon to the fever wards of the Panama Canal, from a Gilded Age crossing to a house divided in an American backyard.
A graduate of Columbia University in English, he has had stage work produced and named a Best Play finalist, and his screenplays have placed in national competitions. He lives and writes in New Jersey.
